Downtown Greensboro is the focus for evening drinking. The streets around Elm and South Greene are lined with bars, breweries, and the kind of late-night cocktail places that have come and gone over the last decade. The college crowd from UNCG and A&T keeps things busy on weekends; mid-week is quieter.
Greensboro's craft beer scene has grown sharply. Most of the local breweries have tap rooms with food trucks parked outside, and a couple offer brewery tours.
