Greensboro's defining attraction is the International Civil Rights Center and Museum, in the building where the 1960 lunch counter sit-in took place. Beyond that the city has a clutch of smaller museums, two well-preserved historic houses, and a couple of substantial parks. The downtown is walkable and steadily improving; for the wider sights you'll need a car.
