Getting There

Salisbury sits on Interstate 85 between Charlotte (about 40 miles southwest) and Greensboro (about 50 miles northeast), and the easiest way to arrive is by car. Charlotte Douglas International is the nearest major airport, with rental cars and a one-hour drive up I-85.

For something more interesting, Salisbury is one of the few small towns in North Carolina with regular Amtrak service. The Crescent (New York-New Orleans), Carolinian, and Piedmont all stop at the 1908 Salisbury Station, putting Charlotte 50 minutes away and Greensboro about an hour. The downtown is a short walk from the station.
