Hale Farm & Village is a large living-history site on the edge of the Cuyahoga Valley, with preserved nineteenth-century buildings, craft demonstrations, and farm landscapes. It is one of the better Akron-area stops for making regional history tangible rather than reading it from panels.
Plan it as a half-day outing, especially when demonstrations or seasonal events are running. The site sits outside downtown Akron, so it works best with a car and pairs naturally with Cuyahoga Valley National Park.
