North Market

Columbus's farmers and artisan market — the best place to graze and grocery shop in the city

North Market is a year-round indoor market at the northern end of the Short North, mixing local farmers with prepared food vendors and artisan producers. It is the kind of market Columbus actually uses: you will find serious produce alongside good coffee, handmade pasta, local charcuterie, and excellent baked goods from a rotating cast of vendors.

Weekend mornings are the best time to go — the market is busiest, the produce selection is fullest, and the hot food stalls are all running. The outdoor portion expands significantly in summer with more farmers and a few food trucks. The doughnut vendor (Destination Donuts) draws a consistent queue. A good place to put together picnic supplies before heading to Schiller Park in German Village.
