This impressive example of Greek Revival architecture was built between 1839 and 1861, with a distinctive drum-shaped dome instead of the usual pointed cap. Visitors can walk freely through much of the building, peek into both the house and senate chambers, and visit the small museum in the basement that traces the building's history.
