Pyramid Hill is the reason to visit Hamilton. This 265-acre outdoor sculpture park spreads across rolling glacially-shaped hills, with monumental works — many of them large enough to walk through or around — placed across meadows and wooded paths. You can drive a loop road through the park or walk the trails; either way you'll encounter unexpected works at every turn.
The sculptures range from abstract steel constructions to figurative bronzes and site-specific installations. The Ancient Sculpture Museum on the grounds holds a genuine collection of Greek, Roman, and Egyptian antiquities, including marble reliefs and pottery that would be at home in a major city museum. The combination of serious art and open landscape makes this unlike almost any other sculpture park in the Midwest.
The park also hosts outdoor concerts, film screenings, and seasonal events. Open Tuesday through Sunday; admission charged. 1763 Hamilton-Cleves Road.
