Miami has a small but solid eating scene. Waylan's Ku-Ku Burger, a 1965 burger shack on Main Street topped with a vintage "Ku-Ku" clock-shaped sign, is the obvious Route 66 stop — order a double cheeseburger, a side of fries and a chocolate malt. Good diner food is also served at the Pork Belly Eatery on Main Street and at Miami Coal House, a barbecue place a few blocks south.
For a sit-down dinner, Brentwood Wine Bistro in the historic district has the most ambitious kitchen in town, with steaks, salads and a respectable Oklahoma wine list. Most places close early; do not expect to eat after about 9 pm.
