A handsome 1934 cottage-style gas station built for the D-X Oil Company on the old Route 66 alignment at Narcissa, about nine miles south of Miami. The pumps are gone but the building survives and is on the National Register.
The station sits right on the famous nine-foot sidewalk-highway stretch of Route 66 — making it a natural stop on the slow drive between Miami and Afton.
