Muskogee is 50 miles southeast of Tulsa on the Muskogee Turnpike (US-69) and 130 miles east of Oklahoma City. The closest commercial airport is Tulsa International (TUL), about an hour by car. The town has no passenger rail service. A car is essential — sights are spread along the west side of town and into the surrounding countryside, and there is no useful public transport for visitors.
