Three Rivers Museum

A small local-history museum in the old Midland Valley Railway depot, named for the three rivers (Arkansas, Verdigris, Grand) that converge near the city. The exhibits cover Muskogee's late-19th-century boom as a railway and outfitting town for the Indian Territory, the early-20th-century oil rush, and the careers of musicians who came from here — Bob Wills, Merle Haggard wrote "Okie from Muskogee" about the place but never lived in it. A useful first stop if you want orientation. Free.
