The town museum, in the historic Johannes Mueller house on East Main Street, traces Lititz's history from the Moravian founding through the industrial era and into the recent designation as "America's Coolest Small Town" (Budget Travel, 2013) that brought it new attention. Period rooms, archival photographs, local crafts, and curiosities like the famous all-wood clock.
The same foundation maintains the Johann Agust Sutter House up the street, where the man who discovered gold in California spent his final years. Both can be visited on a combined ticket.
