Sioux Falls Regional Airport (FSD) has direct flights to Chicago, Minneapolis, Denver, Dallas, and Las Vegas, among other cities. Most major domestic carriers serve it, making it reasonably accessible without a connection. The airport is about five miles from downtown; taxis and rental cars are the main options as there is no direct bus link.
By road, Sioux Falls sits at the intersection of Interstate 90 (east-west) and Interstate 29 (north-south), making it a natural stop on cross-country drives. Minneapolis is about four hours northeast, Rapid City and the Black Hills are four hours west, and Omaha is three hours south. Greyhound and Jefferson Lines serve the city with bus connections to Minneapolis, Omaha, and other regional centres.
