Market Street

An open-air shopping and dining district in the northern part of The Woodlands, designed to mimic a traditional town center with pedestrian-friendly streets and a mix of independent and chain retailers. It's pleasant by Texas suburban standards: walkable, shaded in spots, with outdoor seating at many restaurants.

The dining options here skew upscale casual — modern American, sushi, wine bars. Weekend mornings are the most lively, with families out for brunch. Parking is ample and free in the surrounding garages.

A story
Market Street was designed to feel like a traditional main street, with open-air storefronts and regular events. It works reasonably well — the layout encourages walking in a way that most Texas commercial strips don't.
