Milwaukee City Hall is one of the city's defining landmarks, a tall Flemish Renaissance Revival building that reflects Milwaukee's German immigrant history. Before the art museum's Calatrava wing changed the skyline, this was the building most closely associated with the city centre.
The exterior is the main draw, though tours are sometimes offered. It is an easy stop while walking between the river, Cathedral Square, and the Pabst Theater.
