Getting There

Douglas sits on Interstate 25, the main north-south spine of Wyoming, roughly halfway between Casper (60 miles north) and Cheyenne (140 miles south). It is an easy drive from either direction.

By road: I-25 is the main approach. Exits 135 and 140 serve the town. From Casper, allow about an hour; from Cheyenne, just over two hours.

By air: Converse County Airport (DGW) is three miles north of town and handles small aircraft, but has no scheduled commercial service. The nearest airports with commercial flights are Casper/Natrona County International (CPR) and Cheyenne Regional (CYS).

By bus: Greyhound and other intercity bus services occasionally serve the I-25 corridor, but schedules are limited. Check current routes before relying on this option.

Douglas is firmly car country. Without a vehicle, access to Fort Fetterman, the Laramie Range, and Glendo State Park is difficult.
