Rainforest Ecological Train

Narrow-gauge train linking the park entrance to the falls trailheads

Address Iguazú National Park, Misiones

A small open-sided narrow-gauge train, the Tren Ecológico de la Selva, runs every fifteen to twenty minutes between Estación Central at the park entrance, Estación Cataratas at the trailheads, and Estación Garganta del Diablo at the catwalk. It is the only way to reach the Devil's Throat — the road is closed to private cars beyond Cataratas Station — and the easiest way to move between trailheads.

The journey takes about ten to fifteen minutes between stations. It is included in the park admission, but boarding passes are issued at each station and the queues can be substantial in high season. Arrive at the park gate at opening time to catch the first run.
