Conjunto Nacional

Brasília's first shopping mall, opened in 1971 on the central axis

Conjunto Nacional was the first shopping centre built in Brasília and only the second in Brazil — it opened in 1971 in the prime location facing the bus station and the central axis. Today it is a five-storey mall with around 400 shops, a cinema multiplex, and the most central food court in the city.

Worth knowing about more as a meeting point than as a destination — it is busy, crowded, and convenient. The bigger Park Shopping in the south of town and the Iguatemi in the north have a wider selection.
