Brasília's main attraction is the city itself — Lúcio Costa's Pilot Plan and Oscar Niemeyer's procession of white concrete monuments along the Eixo Monumental are best seen across a single long day, ideally a Sunday when traffic eases and several of the federal buildings open for tours. Start at the TV Tower viewing platform for the bird's-eye orientation, then walk the Esplanada from the Cathedral east to the National Congress and the Three Powers Plaza.
