The "Little Church" of Our Lady of Fátima, in superblock SQS 307/308, was Brasília's first place of worship — designed by Niemeyer and inaugurated in 1958, two years before the city itself. It looks like a child's drawing of a church: a curved triangular shape with a sloping concrete roof that comes down almost to the ground, and a slim cross over the entrance.
The interior is tiny but cool and tranquil, with a baked-tile mural by Athos Bulcão on the back wall and a stained-glass window by Marianne Peretti. Free; usually open during morning mass and on weekend afternoons.
