The Templo da Boa Vontade is a unique seven-sided white pyramid 21 metres high, opened in 1989 by the Legion of Good Will (LBV). At its apex sits a 21-kg pure crystal — said to be the largest such stone in the world — that focuses sunlight onto a spiral floor below.
Visitors of any belief are invited to walk the spiral inwards (a journey of "shadow") and outwards (a journey of "light") in silence. The temple is open 24 hours, and the basement Egyptian Hall and the small reflection garden are quietly thoughtful spaces. Free.
