Arraial has a surprising number of restaurants for a small village, ranging from Italian to sushi. For Brazilian food, Paulinho Pescador serves good seafood at reasonable prices. São João, on the square in front of the church, is another local favourite. The best value is A Portinha, a kilo restaurant (you pay by weight) with a huge variety of dishes and desserts that are hard to find anywhere else in the region.
