Arraial's coastline stretches south from the village along a series of beaches backed by low red-brown cliffs. Mucugê, Parracho, and Pitinga are the most popular — Mucugê and Parracho have beach bars and music, while Pitinga has dramatic clay cliffs and more space. Further south, Taipe and Rio da Barra are quieter and emptier. Araçaipe, near the ferry crossing, is close to town and good for sunset. All the beaches have warm water year-round.
