A long-running fine-dining restaurant in a converted colonial house off a side street of the Pelourinho. The dining is in a quiet courtyard with a fountain — a different atmosphere from the noisier square — and the menu is a smart fusion of Bahian, Portuguese, and contemporary Brazilian cooking.
A good choice for a calmer evening out. The wine list is one of the better ones in the historic centre.
