A chef-owned Bahian restaurant in the Cabula neighbourhood inland from the centre, set in a lush garden where the chef grows much of the produce on the menu. Cooking is traditional Bahian — moquecas, xinxim, vatapá — but with sharper technique and more care than the Pelourinho tourist places.
The 30-minute taxi from the centre puts off most visitors, which is part of why the food stays good. Book ahead and plan a leisurely lunch.
