Satyricon is the most famous restaurant in Búzios — an Italian-inflected seafood house that has been on Rua das Pedras since the 1980s. The original outpost in Rio had already established a reputation for excellent fish and pasta before the Búzios branch opened, and the resort location has sustained both the reputation and the prices.
The menu leans on Mediterranean preparations of Brazilian seafood: fresh fish baked in a salt crust, linguine with local clams, grilled prawns with simple olive oil and garlic. The quality is consistently high. It's expensive by Brazilian standards and still popular enough that a reservation is worth making in high season.
The setting is open-air, with views over the street and occasional live music in the evenings.
