Igreja Santíssimo Sacramento

The city's main Catholic church, built between 1894 and 1922 in a Gothic-revival style, dominates the central Praça Vidal Ramos. The interior has stained glass imported from Munich and a high vaulted nave that feels disproportionately grand for the size of the town it was built to serve.

The square in front is the centre of civic life, and a good orientation point for an afternoon walk through the small downtown grid.
