Cerro Mirador is the local ski hill above Punta Arenas, operated by Club Andino and valued as much for its views as for its slopes. From the hillside, the city, the Strait of Magellan, and the open Patagonian weather feel much closer than they do from the grid of streets below.
In winter, it offers the unusual experience of skiing near one of the southernmost cities in the world. Outside ski season, the hill still works as a short viewpoint and outdoor escape, especially if you want a sense of Punta Arenas' setting between sea, wind, and low mountains.
