The island is small but the terrain is dramatic. Most days revolve around hiking, snorkelling, and watching the endemic Juan Fernandez firecrown hummingbird flit between native trees. You can cross the inhabited side of the island on foot in a day, but the trails are steep and the weather changes fast.
