Viña is on the same coastal strip as Valparaíso and the two cities effectively merge into a single conurbation. From central Valpo, the Metro Valparaíso (Merval) train runs every ten minutes and reaches Viña in about twenty minutes; it is by far the easiest way between the two.
From Santiago, frequent buses run from the Pajaritos and Terminal Alameda terminals to Viña and take about an hour and a half on a clear day. The dedicated bus lane on the autopista keeps the journey predictable. There is no commercial air service; the nearest airport is Santiago, two hours inland.
