Pasto's main cathedral, dedicated to the Augustinian missionary Ezequiel Moreno, who served as Bishop of Pasto in the 1890s and was canonised in 1992. The current building was finished in the 1960s in a heavy neoclassical style, replacing an earlier colonial church.
Inside, the tomb of San Ezequiel draws constant pilgrim traffic from across southern Colombia. The interior is more austere than older Pasto churches but the scale is impressive.
