Playa Nudista (Playa del Muerto)

Playa del Muerto — renamed by visitors as Playa Nudista — is a remote beach at the eastern edge of Tayrona, reachable by a two-hour boat ride from Taganga or a long hike over the hills east of Cabo San Juan. It is one of the least accessible and least visited beaches in the park, which means it is also one of the most beautiful. The water is calm, the sand is white, and the jungle behind it is undisturbed.

The unofficial "nudist" reputation comes from the fact that it's remote enough that people relax their conventions, not from any official designation. It's also known as a camping spot favoured by independent travellers who want to spend a night or two genuinely off the grid. The boat trip from Taganga passes along the coastline and offers good views of the park's western reaches. Bring all your own supplies — there are no services at the beach.
