Mirador de Bellavista is a hillside viewpoint above Baños with views over the town and the Pastaza River valley. It is a simple stop rather than a full excursion, but the angle over the valley gives a good sense of how tightly Baños sits between mountains and river.
Go in clear weather, ideally early or late in the day, when the light is softer and the surrounding slopes are easier to read.
