From the upper TelefériQo station, trails lead toward Guagua Pichincha, the active volcano above Quito. The full hike is hard, high, and exposed, so start early, check current safety advice, and consider hiring a guide if you plan to go beyond the main viewpoints.
You do not need to climb the whole route to make the trip worthwhile. Even a short walk from the cable car reaches miradores with broad views over the city, and the giant swing near the trail has become a favourite photo stop.
