The southernmost Anglican cathedral in the world, a modest brick and stone building with a green roof, completed in 1892 on the shore of Stanley Harbour. Despite its small size — it would be a parish church in any English town — it serves the entire diocese of the Falklands, South Georgia, and the South Sandwich Islands.
The interior has stained glass commemorating the South Atlantic Whalers, the British forces who liberated the islands in 1982, and the men of HMS Sheffield and HMS Coventry lost in that conflict. Outside, the famous Whalebone Arch frames the harbour view — the most-photographed spot in Stanley.
