Granja Porcón is a rural cooperative north of Cajamarca, set among highland pastures and pine forests. Visitors come for a glimpse of Andean farm life, cheese and dairy production, craft workshops, trout ponds, and the cool mountain scenery outside the city.
It is a gentle excursion rather than a spectacular monument, but it gives useful balance to Cajamarca's colonial churches and Inca history. The trip is best with a local driver or organised outing, since the appeal is spread across the landscape rather than concentrated in one building.
