A hundred years of Uruguayan winemaking, and the bodega says so on every page of its site — "no somos apenas una bodega, somos parte viva de la historia vitivinícola del Uruguay". It is a working family operation in Montevideo that welcomes visitors, with tastings arranged in advance.
The curiosity here is a line of table wines made for diabetics, which they have been producing for years and which you will not find at the other bodegas. Whether it is any good is a matter for your own palate, but it is a genuinely unusual thing to be shown round.
