A family winery on Camino de los Molinos, out past Cuchilla Pereira in Montevideo's rural north, working the stretch of country that supplies most of the capital's wine. Their phrase for it is "desde la tierra hasta la copa" — from the soil to the glass — and the visit follows exactly that order.
The enoturismo programme is a booked experience rather than a drop-in tasting room: vineyard, press, cellar and a seated tasting, with the family doing the explaining. It suits an afternoon if you have a car, and it is a good deal less polished than the Maldonado bodegas, which is the point.
Reserve through WhatsApp; the number below is the one they publish for bookings.
