A rocky stretch of coastline about 30 km west of central Oran, Cap Blanc is the most upmarket of the city's beach areas. The water is cleaner here than at the city beaches, and the setting — low cliffs dropping to sheltered coves — is attractive. Development is expanding, with private villas and small holiday homes filling the hillside above. It is quieter than Ain el-Turck and best suited to those who have transport of their own.
