A well-managed private beach club inside the Montazah complex, on a wide curving bay with notably cleaner sand and water than most of the public beaches. Maamoura has been a favourite of middle-class Alexandrians for decades and is among the safest swimming beaches in the city.
Entry is by ticket or seasonal pass; non-residents can buy day passes at the gate for around 30–50 EGP plus modest umbrella-and-chair rental. Several beach restaurants and cafes are inside the complex. The beach is busy on summer weekends; midweek visits are calmer. The bay is sheltered enough that swimming is generally safe even in moderate wind.
