White Canyon

Sinai sandstone canyon excursion from Dahab, quieter and paler than the better-known Colored Canyon.

White Canyon is one of the classic desert trips from Dahab into the interior of South Sinai. The name is literal enough: pale sandstone walls, narrow passages, and dry desert light that feels very different from the blue coast. It is usually visited with a Bedouin guide and often combined with Ain Khudra or other oasis stops.

Compared with the more famous Colored Canyon, White Canyon is quieter and less theatrical, but that can make it more satisfying. Wear proper shoes, carry more water than you think you need, and do not try to treat the Sinai interior as a casual beach-day add-on. The desert is close to Dahab, but it is still desert.
