Tomoca has been roasting and grinding coffee in central Addis since 1953, making it one of the oldest coffee shops in Ethiopia. The tiny Wavel Street shop is permanently busy. Locals stand at the counter drinking short, strong macchiatos for a few birr. There is also ground coffee and whole beans to buy. It is a genuine Addis institution and worth the queue.
