Butre is on the coastal road west of Takoradi, roughly 60km from the city. Take a tro-tro or shared taxi heading toward Agona Nkwanta or Dixcove and ask to be dropped at the Butre junction — the village is a short walk from the main road. From Dixcove it's about 10km east along the same road.
There is no public transport that goes directly to the village itself, so most travelers either arrive by charter taxi or walk in from the junction. The road to the junction is paved; the track into the village is not.
