A small square north of Jemaa el-Fna in the souks, where carpets are sold by informal afternoon auction. The surrounding shops also sell unusual medicinal and magical goods — dried herbs, animal skins, and traditional remedies. Once historically the site of a slave market; now a busy commercial area that retains much of its original character.
