Dar Cherifa

A late-fifteenth-century riad in the Mouassine area, one of the oldest surviving houses in Marrakesh. It has been carefully restored as a literary café and exhibition space, serving mint tea, light meals, and rotating shows of contemporary Moroccan art under a famously delicate carved cedar ceiling. A quiet half-hour break from the souks.
