MCC Gallery — Marrakech Contemporary Collection — is the most serious contemporary art space in Marrakesh, occupying 600 m² in a converted Sidi Ghanem industrial building. Founded in 2019 and relocated to its current home in 2021, it focuses specifically on photography and visual art from the African continent and the African diaspora, filling a gap in a region where contemporary African artists have historically had few dedicated exhibition spaces.
The programming rotates regularly: solo shows, group exhibitions, and occasional artist residencies. The scale of the space allows for large-format photographic work that smaller galleries cannot accommodate. The quality is genuinely international — artists shown here exhibit in Europe and North America as well as across Africa. Open Monday to Saturday, 10am to 6pm.
