Things to Do

Saly is built for beach holidays, and most of the action centres on the ocean. The resort strip runs along a wide, sheltered beach with calm enough surf for swimming and enough wind for watersports. Beyond lying on the beach, the main draws are deep-sea fishing, horse riding at sunset, and organised excursions to the wildlife reserves and fishing communities nearby.

The town has little in the way of sightseeing or culture — that's not what it's for. Visitors who want a deeper look at Senegal tend to use Saly as a comfortable base and explore the Petite Côte from here.
