Cape Sierra Leone Lighthouse has watched the Atlantic approach to Freetown since the British built it in 1812. The tower is worth seeking out less for a formal museum visit than for the sea air, the old coastal setting, and the broad views over the water from the Aberdeen end of the peninsula.
