Siaka Stevens National Stadium

45,000-seat stadium, home of the Leone Stars

The Siaka Stevens National Stadium, near Brookfields, is the home ground of the national football team — the Leone Stars — and the country's largest sports venue. It holds 45,000 and is well-used for football, athletics, and the occasional concert.

International matches draw fierce crowds. If you can catch the Leone Stars or a Premier League fixture, do — the atmosphere is loud, friendly, and very Sierra Leonean. Tickets are cheap and sold at the gates on match days.
