Parliament Building

Modern parliament chamber on Tower Hill

The single-chamber parliament of Sierra Leone — 149 members from across the country's 16 districts, plus 14 paramount chiefs — sits in a low concrete complex on Tower Hill, downhill from State House. Sessions are nominally open to the public, but in practice visitors arrange a visit through their embassy or a member.

The building itself is functional rather than handsome, but it is the working centre of Sierra Leonean democracy and worth a quick look from outside on the way past.
